Jessica recommends the following steps. Implement them if you want to build a happy and strong team in network marketing.

Network Marketing Team Building Strategies

  1. Create a place where your team will enjoy being part of. This is a place where they are nurtured and recognized for even tiny accomplishments.
  2. As a team leader you must care about the success of you down-line. Your attitude should be to inspire not force greater potential in you teams abilities. Be careful not to push. Know what “they want out of the opportunity and inspire them to reach their goal. You may have a bigger vision for them and that is okay, but they have to be ready to receive it. Yes it is said that success means that you have to get out of your comfort zone but if your push your team too hard they may resist, feel uncomfortable and quit. There is a fine line and you don’t’ want to cross it. They will tell you when they are ready to step up.
  3. You can’t motivate them. Motivation comes from within. You’ll get burnt out and make them uncomfortable if you try to soon. On the contrary you can inspire your team by Setting Team Goals at any point.

Here are some ideas to get your team to take action upon:

  • Make more calls
  • Do more follow ups
  • Get more leads
  • Sell more products
  1. Decide what business building skills you want your team to improve on.
  2. Have you thought about Creating Contest to inspire your team to take action? It is a Very Powerful Growth Strategy for your team as long as it is coupled with Tracking results, Recognition and/or Rewards for the achievers. Be sure to give personal recognition to your team members that take action. This makes them feel great and creates that environment where they love to be part of. It also inspires inactive team members to get to moving.
  3. Cedrick Harris shared a special tip about team building with me at lunch a couple of days ago. He said that your team is in network marketing “for the feeling” a feeling of belonging.

Keep this in mind and continue to nurture them. Cedric keeps his team plugged in with daily tips of the day calls and weekly trainings. You can do the same and build a lasting and profitable network marketing team.
