5 Steps to Effective Network Marketing Prospecting

Networking gives you the opportunity to prospect. When building your Home Based Business, the first thing you have to do is to find prospects to share your product and opportunity with. Read this blog post carefully so you can learn how to find endless prospects. Practice these Network Marketing Prospecting Techniques and you will be able to replenish your prospect list when it runs dry.

When you first got started in your business, I am sure that you can recall your sponsor telling you to make a list of the top 50 people that you know.

Making the list of your first 50 contacts were perhaps no sweat, but then you realized that the list of 50 wasn’t sufficient. You needed to add more people to that list.

In fact it wasn’t long before you had to come to grips with the thought that your list should never ever stop growing.

So how do you keep your list freshly stocked?

You can do this easily by Building Your Network.

I will show you how but first lets define the purpose of Network Marketing Prospecting.

  • To broaden your opportunities to be social and have more fun

Network Marketing Prospecting

  1. Make a list of each and every person you know. Include their name, email, phone, social media site, etc. Get it on paper so you can remember it.
  2. Who do they know that you know? Add those names to your list. To jar your memory you can look at your Facebook friends and see which of their friends you know also.
  3. Go to network marketing groups. Interact casually. Do not pitch them at this time. Ask them this question and you will set yourself apart from the other people in the room, “How will I know what to look for in a person that would be a great referral for you?” This will show that you have an interest in them. It builds rapport. Let them answer, get their contact info and add them to your list.
  4. Create an active candidate list… Add 2 new people to your list a day. Think about the people you connect with on a daily bases.
  5. Network with the purpose to build your list. Church groups, join gym, volunteer, hobby, join meet up groups, restaurants, book club, networking groups, and places where people hangout for fun are all great sources to network. Remember to smile, be energetic and learn as much as you can about them. Have your radar on to see how you can serve them.

So now you may be wondering, what the heck am I suppose to do with this list?

Hold off on prospecting your list until you can turn them into receptive prospects. Remember the Special Formula to Success. You must help them first!

The secret is to Nurture your prospects as often as you can. Here are a few ideas.

  1. Devote time each day to becoming better at networking…Make it a point to nurture at least one person on your list daily. See how you can help them.  Ex. Solve a problem they maybe having.
  1. With everyone you meet find a way to stay connected. Engaging with them on social media is a great strategy.
  2. Do not look to get something in return for helping them.
  3. Go through your connections and see if you can refer someone to them if they are in business or are part of an organization.
  4. Share a helpful resource with them.
